What a Dream It Was

Only the beginning
I remember it all started with a kiss
On the back of her knee
she murmurs words in French
I don't understand
~
I can still taste and feel her soft lips
looking into her eyes
Remembering her smile
the mole that landscaped
The top corner of her lip
a beauty mark
The signature of her soul
~
I cradle her lovely face
In the palm of my hands
caressing her lips with mine
I wake up only to realize
it’s a dream
~
What a dream it was
I still smell her perfume
And taste her lips
this is only the beginning
of another dream
